Alternative Investments
Championed by David Swensen for the Yale Endowment, this model involves diversification across non-traditional, less liquid asset classes — rather than relying solely on public equities and bonds; to deliver sustainable long-term performance with reduced risk and volatility. Our strategy allocates a substantial portion of the portfolio to alternative assets including private equity, venture capital, private credit, real estate, commodities, digital assets, and tangible alternatives such as art and collectibles. These may include both registered public offerings and private placements typically structured under Regulation D of the Securities Act of 1933. By emphasizing low-correlation assets, we help reduce portfolio volatility and enhance returns, while capturing the illiquidity premium unavailable in traditional markets.
Investment Strategies
Drawing on investment banking experience with private corporate issuers across equity and debt markets, our investment strategies are grounded in a long-term approach. We deploy capital through both multi-portfolio fund structures and targeted special purpose vehicles (SPVs), selecting structures based on opportunity characteristics and investor needs. We believe alternatives deliver the greatest value when supported by patient capital and meaningful scale, allowing us to maximize upside over extended time horizons. Through defined processes and careful market selection, we help investors achieve risk-adjusted returns that align with their financial objectives.
We currently invest in venture opportunities across Financial Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Aerospace & Defense, and Longevity & Healthcare Innovation - with coverage in both early-stage and late-stage companies. In parallel, we are actively developing our private equity and private credit platforms to further expand our investment toolkit.
